A gorgeously executed and styled destination wedding in lovely Lake Mary Florida. The wedding took place in the main room of the Lake Mary Events Center that looked out over lush landscape and a lake. Close family and friends traveled down by auto train to support and attend this wonderful couple’s ceremony. Enjoy some of the pictures I captured of their day.

Wedding Theme and/or Style: No particular theme, but we did have a Mickey and Minnie wedding cake topper to capture the Floridian/Disney sprit!
Meet the couple– few sentences about how you met, the proposal, your careers, etc.
Maurice and I are originally from Philadelphia, PA and we currently live in Wilmington, DE. I am a cardiac technician at Chester County Hospital in PA and Maurice is a software tester for JP Morgan Chase. We met almost 9 years ago on Temple University campus. 7 years and 1 child later, Maurice proposed on Christmas day 2012. What inspired me to have our wedding in Florida is that I visit many times during the year. I love the Orlando area so much I thought it would be amazing to say “I do” in the sunshine state!
Where did you get your Bridal Attire? Tux? Bridal party fashion? David’s Bridal, TopWedding.com and Overstock.com
Did you have any extra details added or taken away? My dress was very plain, so I ordered a rhinestone sash from TopWedding.com
Who is the designer? Brides gown, bridal party attire, groom attire: All of the dresses came from David’s Bridal and the groom/groomsmen wore tuxedos from Overstock.com

Lake Mary Events Center; I chose this venue because it had a beautiful Lakeview and I wanted to still have that outdoor feel without having an outdoor ceremony. Plus, it was very affordable to have it on a weekday!

Any Advice for future brides planning a wedding in Florida at the venue you used?
Do your homework!! I planned my entire wedding from out of town and it is so important to find out as much information as you can. Also if you can, visit your vendors as much as you can. I came to Florida twice before the wedding to make sure everything would be perfect. Ask lots of questions and make sure you thoroughly read all contracts. Ask about discounts and specials they may be having.

Any vendors that you would like to comment on: DeShay at River City Catering was phenomenal! She is very attentive to your needs and the food is awesome! Maria Cruz of Love Mate photography takes amazing photos and they were delivered within 2 weeks after the wedding.
How was the process for obtaining the marriage license? Very easy! We didn’t even need birth cerfiticates!
