Image
Hey, there engaged couples, destination, and local Floridian couples. This blog is for you! If you are coming to Florida and considering a wedding while you are here, welcome. Be. Our. Guest! Here are a few venues perfect for weekday weddings and won't break the bank. While there are plenty of venues in and around Central Florida, today I will introduce you to 3 relatively new wedding venues. The last event hall is under construction now and should be available by the end of this year. These venues offer affordable weekday weddings if you want to be married Monday through Thursday.  What a perfect solution for getting married and then celebrating the remainder of your vacation as a married couple. All of these venues offer weekend weddings but if you want to save money or just need an excuse to use your PTO time then this is a fun way to do it. You can style your wedding day with plenty of room for you and your guests whether it be just a few close family and friends or many more

Summertime weddings, part 1

Image
There are a few things more lovely than a summertime wedding. There are also a few things hotter in the state of Florida. Everything is in bloom. The greenery is gorgeous; the flowers are in full bloom, and the sun is beaming down this side of the equator in all of its glory. So what does this mean for you and your outdoor wedding day?  Your guests may be sweaty and uncomfortable if you run late. The chairs roasting in the sun may be uncomfortable to sit on. You, your intended, the bridal party, and your guests may sweat through the elaborately chosen outfits. Your vendors will be hot and sweaty, and that thousand-dollar cake sitting on display outside in 90-degree weather might start melting. It also means you can have a lovely outdoor wedding with nature as your beautiful background. You will have options for pictures. You walk down the aisle can be more dramatic and many times much wider if you have more than one escort or a wide dress or extensive train. It also means walking on

Hurricane season has begun

Image
It's July and we have officially begun hurricane season in Florida. This year even though weddings are more plentiful I have been forced to take fewer weddings due to illness, the death of my mother, and the declining health of my mother-in-law for whom I provide constant care. What does this mean for all those couples planning July weddings in Florida? I will give you a few tips to consider. Check the weather updates constantly.  Book a vendor with indoor and outdoor options. No one likes to get rained on. This includes your vendors and their very expensive equipment, your guests with their brand new or possibly uncomfortable outfits, and getting a change of date or refunds may be harder than you think. Hurricane season is officially from June 1st through November 30th. There will be daily rains and Florida's flowers and fauna will be green and healthy from the daily rains.  Flooding and loss of electricity will be common. Dates not predicted to rain will fill up very fast.  O

April Showers bring Spring Flowers

Find growth in the rain of your marriage. Just like in nature, rain and storms are needed to make flowers and gardens grow. The same can be said for your marriage or domestic partnership. Although rain and storms assail your marriage, your marriage is not doomed to fail, but grow stronger, more secure, more formidable because of your special bond of love. Your love fertilizes and nourishes each other's souls. As your marriage progresses, you will have unexpected trials and complications. Some foreseeable, others not so much. You may experience storms and downpours in the form of financial situations, issues with the exes, problems with children; from step-parenting to trying to conceive. You may experience job loss or the loss of a cherished family member or friend or th
