The bride wore a long bridal gown with soft gathers that began just below the waistline. The strapless beaded bodice fit her perfectly and the simple head band and necklace ensemble completed her look. The groom and his groomsman all wore black tuxes adorned with a red rose.

From the ceremony

The bride’s daughter was the flower girl and the ceremony was held on the balcony overlooking the vineyards. It was a bit chilly in February and the vines were not in bloom at that time. But there was plenty of wine to be had. This group of family and friends were treated to Lakeridge wines, spirits and cheese.

Hurricane season has begun

It's July and we have officially begun hurricane season in Florida. This year even though weddings are more plentiful I have been forced to take fewer weddings due to illness, the death of my mother, and the declining health of my mother-in-law for whom I provide constant care. What does this mean for all those couples planning July weddings in Florida? I will give you a few tips to consider. Check the weather updates constantly.  Book a vendor with indoor and outdoor options. No one likes to get rained on. This includes your vendors and their very expensive equipment, your guests with their brand new or possibly uncomfortable outfits, and getting a change of date or refunds may be harder than you think. Hurricane season is officially from June 1st through November 30th. There will be daily rains and Florida's flowers and fauna will be green and healthy from the daily rains.  Flooding and loss of electricity will be common.   There are a few things more lovely than a summertime wedding. There are also a few things hotter in the state of Florida. Everything is in bloom. The greenery is gorgeous; the flowers are in full bloom, and the sun is beaming down this side of the equator in all of its glory.
